Play on, player! “Squid Game” Season 3 premiered in New York City with a massive fan extravaganza.
Celebrating the highly anticipated final season of the thriller that has captivated the world, Netflix hosted and special premiere screening event at The Paris Theater. Rolling out for the creative team and cast was a massive pink carpet steps away from Fifth Avenue.

Director Hwang Dong-hyuk spoke to excited fans and guests inside the landmark theater who gathered for a mesmerizing moment that started with a little ‘paper, rock, scissors’ action before the screening and ended with an audible gasp by the time the lights came up. This is a season that will rock the senses for lovers of the streamer.
I heard a lot of people got mad at me after Season 2 came out because [it] ended in such a cliffhanger, so I did my best to bring Season 3 of the work as soon as possible and here we are … the entire season will come out in about 9 days,” Dong-hyuk stated. “And I promise it’s not going to let you down.”

Notable attendees included Dong-hyuk with Kim Ji-yeon (Executive Producer), Lee Jung-jae, Lee Byung-hun, Yim Si-wan, Jo Yu-ri, Park Sung-hoon, Kang Ae-sim, and many more.
“Squid Game” is a fan-beloved Korean drama that quickly became a cultural phenomenon and Netflix’s most popular show ever. Created by Dong-hyuk, Squid Game continues to attract global audiences, smashing multiple records with its Season 2 return in December 2024, including most views for a show in its premiere week and entering the Most Popular Non-English TV list in just three days – It currently ranks #2 with 192.6 Million views just behind Season 1 at 265.2 Million.
Netflix also debuted the Emmy® nominated and BAFTA-winning reality competition Squid Game: The Challenge. The franchise continues to expand with Squid Game: The Experience, a touring activation where fans can play games inspired by the show; fans can bring their favorite show home with a variety of lifestyle products and collaborations; and with Squid Game: Unleashed, a multiplayer video game that is on track to become Netflix’s most downloaded game.
Squid Game Seasons 1 and 2 are now streaming on Netflix, with the third and final season debuting on June 27.
