The cast of ‘Off Campus’ dives into the emotional layers behind their characters, exploring everything from college identity to romance, music, and personal growth ahead of its premiere on Prime Video.
Stepping into a world where hockey, music, and relationships collide, the ensemble brings a grounded and heartfelt coming-of-age story to life. From fraternity dynamics to creative ambition, each character shows a different side of growing up.
At the center of the story, Ella Bright and Belmont Cameli lead as Hannah Wells and Garrett Graham. Their relationship starts with assumptions but quickly deepens as they learn more about each other.
“I think for Hannah, she initially sees him as this cocky captain of the ice hockey team,” Bright said. “She misjudges him and is surprised by how genuine he is and how hard he works.”
Garrett also misreads Hannah at first. “He sees her as a good opportunity to help him get a grade,” Cameli said. “He’s focused on hockey. But when he sees her singing, that’s the moment he realizes there’s more to her.”
As their relationship grows, the show highlights the emotional ups and downs of early adulthood. “That chapter of life is always so weird and exciting,” Cameli said. “The friendships you build really shape who you become. The show gets that right.”
Music plays a major role in shaping both characters and their connection.“One of the first things I did was build a playlist for Hannah,” Bright said. “I listened to it throughout filming, and it helped me connect to her.”
Cameli also used music to understand Garrett. “When something sad happens, you put on a sad song,” he said. “I looked for music that matched Garrett’s journey.”

Beyond the central romance, Off Campus explores a larger friend group, each dealing with identity and personal growth.
Jalen Thomas Brooks, who plays John Tucker, focuses on redefining fraternity life. “He wants a sense of family,” Brooks said. “He won’t let people treat him badly. It’s about brotherhood—having fun and knowing people have your back.”
Antonio Cipriano’s John Logan connects with others on a deeper level, especially Hannah.“He likes to get under the surface,” Cipriano said. “He wants to know how people really feel.”
Stephen Kalyn’s Dean Di Laurentis adds another layer to the group dynamic. “He seems fun and carefree,” Kalyn said. “But there’s a lot more going on underneath.”
The series also explores self-worth and emotional risk through characters like Allie Hayes and Justin Kohl. Mika Abdalla described Allie’s journey as learning to let go of control. “You come in with expectations,” Abdalla said. “Sometimes you have to let go and grow.”
For Josh Heuston, Justin’s story ties closely to music and vulnerability. “The music is a huge part of the story,” Heuston said. “It’s about taking risks—not just creatively, but emotionally.”
Together, the cast brings Off Campus to life as a story about love, friendship, and self-discovery. The series captures the excitement and uncertainty that come with stepping into adulthood.
All eight episodes of Season 1 of Off Campus premiere May 13 on Prime Video.
