You may not want to look up with Marah Strauch and Bryce Leavitt’s new film dropping right out of the sky.
A lot of people have fears of different things. People are afraid of spiders, bugs, looking stupid or, in this case…..heights and if you are afraid of heights, may God help you when watching this documentary.
Joe Jennings is a relentless skydiver, who has built his brand off of doing extreme stunts in the air while he and his team are skydiving 15,000 feet in the sky. These stunts usually involve adding objects like cars and couches as if they are an art installation set up for people to observe.
The film never ceases to slow down in its pace. It’s deliberate, fast-paced and engaging more than any other Fast and Furious movie. It’s interesting to look at how skydivers got started and made a huge career out of it.
Still from Space Cowboy
To be fair and to point out the problems in the movie, it seems that it glorifies dangerous stunt behavior almost mirroring Jackass, which may send the wrong message to some viewers because they do explain that someone died in doing these stunts. They explain to not try it at home, but it seems these people might be too obsessed with this sport.
All in all, the film boasts an emotionally resonant take on skydiving while also serving as a cautionary tale.
