Based on the best-selling book series by Bernard Waber, ‘Lyle, Lyle, Crocodile’ features a star-studded cast and creative team that brings the beloved character off of the page and onto the big screen in an irresistible way.
Javier Bardem, Constance Wu, Winslow Fegley, and Scoot McNairy star in the film, with Shawn Mendes voicing the singing crocodile, Lyle. The film follows the Primm family — comprised of Wu, Fegley, and McNairy — as they move to New York City. All members of the family go through their own struggles as they try to adapt to their new life in a new place, however things begin to turn around after they meet Lyle, who lives in their attic.
Lyle shows the Primm family how to find happiness, adventure, and music in the city. However, after his existence is discovered by a rude neighbor, the Primm family must join forces with Lyle’s charismatic owner, played by Academy Award-winner Javier Bardem, to save Lyle and show the world what family really means.
The film features original songs written by Benj Pasek and Justin Paul, the songwriting duo behind The Greatest Showman, and is directed by Will Speck and Josh Gordon.
“We are so excited to show this film to you with this incredible cast,” Josh Gordon said prior to the premiere. “Just enjoy it.”
“This is supposed to be an interactive musical experience,” Will Speck added. “So don’t be afraid to clap, sing, dance, and cheer.”
See Lyle, Lyle, Crocodile only in theaters on October 7.
