The Knockturnal had the pleasure of sitting down with Sharaun B, who returned to the Grammy Awards this year as a trophy presenter for the second consecutive year, a distinction that places her among a select group trusted to represent the Recording Academy on music’s biggest night. The 68th Annual Grammy Awards, held on February 1, 2026, at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, celebrated excellence across the global music landscape while also marking another moment of Black history in the making.

As Black History Month and Fashion Month converge, Sharaun B’s presence at the Grammys carries even greater significance. As a fashion leader, wellness advocate, and cultural architect, she is actively shaping what representation looks like in spaces where fashion, music, and influence intersect. Her return is not symbolic it is historic.

During our Zoom conversation, Sharaun B shared what it means to be invited back for a second year. For her, presenting at the Grammys is about more than prestige; it is about witnessing the artist’s journey and offering visible support at a pivotal career moment.

“It’s about being present with the artist,” she explained. “Honoring the process, the faith, and the work it took to arrive on that stage.”

Rooted in Chicago, Rising on the World Stage

That grounded presence traces back to Chicago, where Sharaun B’s journey began. She spoke candidly about the city’s influence on her creative instincts and leadership style. Chicago remains her anchor a place that continues to inform how she shows up in global spaces with intention, balance, and clarity.

Fashion, Wellness, and a Vision Realized

Wellness and balance are central to Sharaun B’s philosophy, especially as she navigates high profile environments during Fashion Week season, where visibility often comes at the expense of well-being. Her commitment to sustainability of body, mind, and career has now taken physical form through Model Tribe, her newest and most ambitious venture.

A New Waterfront Creative Hub: History in the Making

Sharaun B has officially opened a brick-and-mortar creative space in a Chicago waterfront community, a groundbreaking move that further cements her role as a cultural trailblazer. The space functions as a creative hub for designers, models, and artists, complete with a runway for professional model training, collaborative workspaces, and programming that bridges fashion, wellness, mentorship, and entrepreneurship.

This endeavor represents a rare and forward-thinking concept for the city a Black woman led fashion and creative institution built by someone who has seen the industry from the inside and continues to reach new heights. In doing so, Sharaun B is not only building infrastructure, she is making Black history.

A Living Example of Possibility

During a month dedicated to honoring Black excellence and a season defined by global fashion innovation, Sharaun B stands as a living example of what is possible when vision meets purpose. Her presence of mind, clarity, and light are precisely why the Grammys recognized her as the right energy to return and help shape one of the most watched nights in entertainment.

She represents the dreamer and the reminder that all things are possible.
