Maxim Magazine and Karma International threw a decadent and delicious Halloween megabash in downtown Los Angeles. It was pure, joyous mayhem.
Huge names were in the building: Chris Brown, Aubrey O’Day, Pauly D and Karrueche Tran showed up, and though Brown was dressed as himself, he was all smiles and full of energy. Other stars were living for it, too. Tara Reid looked divine, and reality star Milan Christopher was showing some thigh in a skimpy get up.
The usually ornate Shrine Auditorium was decked out in ghoulish and gaudy decorations. Deeply committed actors played out macabre scenes, chasing attendees and hanging highly-trained women by hooks. There was a terrifying haunted house that made me scream like a youth.
This was the scene. There was also very adult friendly fun; complimentary CÎROC Mango, Tequila Don Julio Blanco and Don Julio 1942 poured freely. Very fit women moved about the space as living art pieces—there was a particularly effective mourning bride surrounded by smoke and guitars. It was way cool.
Guests were treated to the Best Damn Root Beer floats, delicious catering from The Bird’s Nest, the most beautiful models in the world brought to you by Pure Model Club, and energizing sips by Monster Energy. Desserts were provided by Belladonna Sweets and all of the beautiful MAXIM bottle service girls were decked out in stunning costumes courtesy of Foreplay.
DJ Vice spun an absurdly infectious set, and the night was capped by the man, the myth: Ne-yo. He performed “Let’s Go” for the feverish crowd. I was…turnt. In the most professional way.
The night ended, people made out, and life for one night was higher than high.
