And there is no better way to create a piece of art than with a cocktail in hand
Last week was International Artists Day. And what better way to celebrate this holiday than with a good, ol’ fashioned paint and sip. And to commemorate this holiday, Sandeman Port hosted an intimate paint and sip event at Paint ‘N Pour which also featured their iconic Sandeman Porto.
Sandeman Port has always had a vibrant relationship with the arts. Since its inception, Sandeman Port has called upon artists to contribute to the packaging of each port expression they release. This dedication to the arts has led Sandeman Port to collaborate with several artists such as Jean d’Vlen, George Massiot-Brown, and Mario Belem.
And for their latest release, they have tapped one of the most renowned visual and street artists around, OzeArv. His finished product was inspired by the multiple sensations incited by a glass of Sandeman Port. The piece relies on the history of the brand and grows from there, spreading like a tree. And this piece is what guests were tasked to recreate during this event.
As guests sipped on light bites and delicious signature Sandeman cocktails, they were guided step-by-step on how to recreate their own version of this iconic visual painting. Each cocktail made for this event was delicious in their own way and showcased the versatility of their wine. One of our favorites was the Sandeman Port paired with a bourbon to create a beautiful fall inspired cocktail that was both fruit forward but grounded in warm baking spices.
