RuPaul’s Drag Race Star Suzie Toot Hosted the Best Viewing Party I’ve Ever Seen

The roaring 20s are here to stay

No split decisions here: Betsey Johnson rules.

Beaches Tropicana treated us to a RuPaul’s Drag Race watch party unlike any I’ve ever been to. And I have been to one million of them.

Current season 17 contestant and dare-I-say FRONTRUNNER Suzie Toot co-hosted alongside she of the royal bloodline, Lolita Colby.

They both gave us insider tea for the episode and the season and were kind enough to rock us with sensational performances to boot. Sorry, to toot.

‘This is the episode I’ve been the most excited to talk about all season,’ said Toot, which meant she clearly wasn’t going home this time around. Ha.

This week’s challenge had the queens take on different well-known Betsey eras, fashioning outfits quick, fast and in a hurry before strutting in front of the judges.

Her first fashion collection debuted in 1964, and yet here she was overwhelmed by the queen’s beautiful tribute to her iconic work.

Jewels Sparkles won the episode. You just got spoiled!

A runway competition followed the screening, with several baddies storming the Beaches stage to uproarious applause.

In the end, it was my homie Bettie Bathhouse who took the crown and the coveted Betsy Johnson disco ball purse.

She even had it handed to her personally by queen Betsey herself, who promptly launched into her signature split. At 82 years old. I tripped on a curb writing this just now.

Me and my boyfriend left on a high after some incredible performances. It also just so happened to be my birthday – quite seriously the best one I’ve ever had, and this event was a huge part of it.

Slantè!
