Ron Suno & DDG team up on new track “Wraith.”
Bronx rapper and viral comedian Ron Suno is back with another star-studded collaboration on his new single “Wraith,” featuring DDG. Both rappers mastered viral comedy before switching lanes to music and this record showcases how much they’ve grown as artists. DDG follows Suno’s lead on this fast-paced drill track in which both artists flex their “Wraiths” and compare their past and present lifestyles. What began as DDG’s reply to Suno’s Instagram story transformed into two singles and a music video.
In our exclusive interview dropping tomorrow, Ron Suno joins us, once again, to discuss new single “Wraith,” Like Mike 2, and viral challenges. Suno discusses what it was like to cook up with DDG in the studio stating, “we freestyled everything, it was all natural, we didn’t even make it to the booth, we recorded right next to the engineer,” describing how eager and ready they were to lay down the track. Suno also dropped some gems of wisdom for aspiring rappers highlighting the significance of social media and whether or not label deals are necessary. In addition to his new single, Suno is dropping Swag Like Mike 2, the follow up to his critically acclaimed project Swag Like Mike, which has a tentative October release date. Not only has Suno impressed audiences with his music, he is credited with founding several viral challenges including the “Weave,” “Pinocchio” and “Hip Hop Harry” challenge. In a time of Pandemic, Suno brought people together and spread laughter through the “Hip Hop Harry challenge” showcasing his musical and comedic talents.
