The chipmunks return!
They’re cute, furry, fun, and back to steal our hearts! On December 23, 2015, 20th Century Fox will release Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Road Chip, nationwide. In this adventurous upcoming film our cute furry friends will embark on a wild adventure once again. As usual the film will feature the voice talents of Justin Long (Alvin), Mathew Gray Gubler (Simon) and Jesse McCartney (Theodore). Jason Lee also returns as the chipmunk’s guardian, Dave.
The screenplay is by Randi Mayem Singer who brought us Mrs. Doubtfire and Toothfairy. “Through a series of misunderstandings, Alvin, Simon and Theodore come to believe that Dave is going to propose to his new girlfriend in New York City… and dump them. They have three days to get to him and stop the proposal, saving themselves not only from losing but possibly gaining a terrible stepbrother.”
The first trailer doesn’t give an actual hint of this storyline other than the chipmunks going on an exciting road trip but there is more of their unique singing. Although, the chipmunks may not be huge critical successes they have done very well at the box office. Alvin and the Chipmunks: Chip Wrecked has taken in an excess of $342 million worldwide. This recent installment will be a huge hit amongst the young children and a mini stress reliever amongst parents.
