NYC’s newest Kosher date spot in the Upper East Side is opening its doors this Sunday.
Last Thursday, we had the honor to attend the opening of Reserve Cut’s second location. We visited their 109 East 56th Street (at Park Avenue) location to experience their renowned kosher cuisine. Reserve Cut already has a perfect track record of serving juicy steaks paired with fresh sushi rolls in their original FiDi location since 2013. With this new location, the patrons who live in upper Manhattan will have an even easier time going on a kosher date.

The reason we stress their kosherness is because not only is the food delicious, but every single dish at Reserve Cut is verified kosher by an onsite Rabbi. The restaurant takes great care with following kosher laws, such as its prohibition of the mixing of meat with dairy, the use of milk, cheese, and butter are forbidden; chefs, including the pastry chef, rely on margarine or other substitutes when making the menu.

For the opening night, we were able to sample their tuna and black truffle sushi, which was the perfect marriage of richness and freshness. Aside from the food, the drinks were also fantastic. Their spicy margarita was the perfect umami appetizer drink while the refreshing cucumber vodka cocktail will bring you back to your favorite summer day.

Aside from the delicious food and wine, the ambiance itself was also impeccable. The perfectly set dim lighting gives your meal the most romantic filter, while the European architecture provides the ultimate backdrop to an intimate dinner. With the high vaulted ceilings, there’s no need to worry about the crowd being too loud; you will always be able to hear your date. The space has a seating capacity of 287 with four private dining rooms.

This new location will be opening on Sunday, September 8, and will be open every Monday-Thursday 12-10:30pm, Saturday from sundown-11pm, and Sunday 5-10:30pm. Make sure to snatch your reservation early!
