Rémy Martin unveiled their newly released blend Carte Blanche Merpins á Baptiste Loiseau at the Whitby Hotel.
Cellar master Baptiste Loiseau had the opportunity to mingle with some iconic faces, such Grammy Award-winning Record Producer Zaytoven, Model River Viiperi, and Rebe Espinosa of Universal Music Group, while then leading all guests through a tasting of Carte Blanche Merpins á Baptiste Loiseau Merpins as they each experienced intense aromas of gingerbread notes, candied fruits, delicate notes of plums, followed by a smooth finish on the palate with a spicy kick.
Grammy Award-winning producer Zaytoven was present for the unveiling and also a judge in the Rémy Martin Producers Series Season 4 Semifinal held later that night. We got a chance to talk to him about what he’s been up to recently and what he’s been working on.

He told us he’s been working with Yo Gotti, Young Dolph and Ty Dolla $ign, and produced songs on each of their albums that come out later this month. Zaytoven is also working with Trey Songz and executive producing his album. He’s been busy working on different artists projects and even went out of his comfort zone and linking up with artists outside of Atlanta that he hasn’t previously worked with. With rumors about Culture 2 and the anticipation about when this album might come out, Zaytoven said he should have even more production on this upcoming Migos album than the two tracks, which he had on Culture. He’s also working on his own album that he plans to release early in 2018. Zaytoven also said he’s working on a movie titled Birds of The Feather, which is about his life that he’s working on and also starring in as himself. Zaytoven was also excited for the Producer Series competition since he’s always trying to inspire and work with new producers and hear new sounds that might inspire his own creativity as well.

Later that night was the Rémy Martin Producers Series Season 4 Semifinal held at Lavo. The three producers that were competing in the semifinal were Severe Jones, L.O and Midi Beats. Before the competition there was a drum machine on the stage and Zaytoven began making a beat by just messing with the pad and even got an MC named Khia B to rap a freestyle over the beat. This created the proper environment for the audience to get ready to listen to different beats by the competing amateur producers. With different A&R’s in attendance, as well as label and industry executives it was up to the producers to impress them as well as the judges. Hearing 45 seconds to a minute of just instrumentals it was tough for the audience to get into it, but Severe Jones was able to get the crowd moving and into his beat that he played. Eventually this was the game changer and he was able to win the competition because of his ability to get the crowd into his music.
