Racquet House kicked off the 2024 U.S. Open in style with a vibrant launch party at Rockefeller Center.

Hosted by Racquet, a lifestyle brand and quarterly magazine celebrating the art, ideas, style, and culture surrounding tennis, the event was part of their third-year activation series, marking a significant moment in the tennis calendar. This year’s celebration also coincided with the launch of their 25th issue, guest-edited by magazine legend David Granger, formerly of Esquire.

As attendees arrived at Rockefeller Center, they were welcomed by a lively scene. The venue, an urban garden and event space above Radio City Music Hall known as Radio Park, was decked out for the occasion. The crowd, a mix of over 500+ VIPs, tennis enthusiasts, players, talent, influencers, sponsors, press, and friends of the brand kicked off Racquet House this past Thursday.

The Racquet House activations at Rockefeller Center were live from August 22 to August 25, offering a variety of engaging experiences for tennis fans and visitors. The programming, available daily from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., included opportunities to see professional tennis players rally with kids from local community programs, participate in talent sessions featuring fan-favorite tennis stars, and enjoy content creation opportunities and exclusive private events.

The event also featured a FILA claw machine where visitors could win exciting prizes, and specialty drinks were available from the Heineken Beer Garden and Shake Shack Lemonade Stand. The final day, August 25, offered Open Play on the tennis court, allowing the public to hit the court and enjoy the game.

Music was curated by DJ Radiorahill the night of the launch including immersive touch points throughout the venue celebrating tennis culture. The top-level outdoor garden offered stunning views of the city, creating a perfect backdrop for the evening. Signature cocktails flowed freely, with CÎROC Limonata and Maestro Dobel Tequila taking center stage. Guests also enjoyed a range of other refreshments, including Nolet’s Silver Gin, Heineken Silver, Maison Perrier, and Essentia Water. Shake Shack provided food for the event with their signature ShackBurgers, Veggie Shacks, and Crinkle Cut Fries, adding a nice touch of comfort to the evening.
