The 2024 U.S. Open tennis tournament has officially kicked off in New York with IHG Hotels & Resorts returning to the annual grand slam event as the official hotel partner and hotel loyalty program for the sixth year. During the two-week competition, spectators flocking to the Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in Flushing, New York, can get a taste of IHG’s unmatched service by visiting the IHG Hotels & Resorts Racquet Bar. Located on the terrace outside Arthur Ashe Stadium, this shaded outdoor patio offers refreshing cold beverages and specialty cocktails, including the U.S. Open’s signature drink called the Honey Deuce. Guests can also order a drink from the delicious curated wine-by-the-glass menu.
Open from August 22 through September 8, the Racquet Bar’s décor is elegantly furnished with lots of greenery and beautiful light blue flowers — creating a comfortable and calming atmosphere. For those who don’t want to miss out on the tennis action, television screens are showing the latest matches throughout the day and evening sessions.
The fun doesn’t stop there. IHG Hotels & Resorts has set up a booth that features a whimsical suite made of countless tennis balls for attendees to take photos and commemorate their U.S. Open experience. Located at the Garage Alle, the suite features a bed, nightstand, end chair, mini lamps, and nightstands all made out of striking yellow tennis balls. The room’s walls are covered in tennis balls and a ceiling fan is even made out of tennis rackets.

IHG’s booth at the U.S. Open also offers a gift to IHG One Rewards members thanking them for their loyalty. IHG offers its One Rewards loyalty members many perks and one-of-a-kind experiences related to the U.S. Open that cannot be purchased by the public. For example, on August 21, IHG Hotels & Resorts hosted an exclusive, invite-only celebration called the Grand Slam Social event at Kimpton Hotel Eventi in New York City headlined by a DJ set from producer and songwriter Mark Ronson.
