January 26, 2023, Manhattan New York. Hard Rock Hotel. Detroit native and Platinum certified recording artist, Quinn XCII, shutdown the illustrious Hard Rock hotel in New York City to usher in his new album, “The People’s Champ”. The pre-album release performance venue occupied two floors of the performance wings with a VIP bar on the second level that served complimentary cocktail drinks, inspired by the theme of the album.
The platinum-Certified artist offers up his fifth album, “ The People’s Champ”, immediately after his engaging performance at the Hard Rock Hotel. The 12 song project captures a broad spectrum of the humble mid-Westerner’s lifestyles, thought process and emotional palate in the form of sound. Quinn XCII is extremely gifted at connecting with his audience both live and in sound recording. He could easily be labeled as the “every man of music”, with a down-to-earth vibe, the singer-songwriter pens and performs his experiences and shares his insights with his fans in a vulnerable way. Upcoming singles from the album include “The Lows” and “Too Late” feat. AJR. One of my notable favorites “Being Me” highlights the internal and external journey that Quinn XCII takes as he pursues his career in music. Following the album’s release, Quinn will begin his world tour that is expected to kick off February 16, 2023, with a live performance in Metro City in Sydney Australia.
“Even five records in, I feel like I have to fight for my stripes and prove myself. This is an underdog story, so I thought ‘The People’sChamp’ was a funny way to describe it. A lot of the process was going back to the basis of making fun Quinn-sounding records people will resonate with.” – Quinn XCII on The People’s Champ
Quinn XCII’s distinctive sound and prolific voice blends the genre styles of pop, soul, alternative, and what sounds like back-packing a hip-hop style made popular in the early 2000’s by artists from the midwest hip-hop such as Slum Village, Common and Lupe Fiasco. Quinn XCII’s catalog include fan favorites and the Platinum singles—“Kings of Summer”, “Straightjacket,” and “Love Me Less” with MAX; various Gold singles, namely “Flare Guns” and “Stay Next To Me” featuring with Chelsea Cutler; “Another Day In Paradise,” “Stacy,” and “Always Been You.”
Quinn XCIIhas drawn crowds that have packed packs houses on tour, moving north of 350,000 tickets as a headliner and selling out renowned stages such as Radio City Music Hall, Red Rocks Amphitheater, The Greek Theatre, and more. Simultaneously, he has drawn crowds of thousands at festivals including Lollapalooza, Bonnaroo, Firefly, Governors Ball, Summerfest, and Electric Forest.
