When you have a product that is good, what do you think happens to it? This Week’s Power Book IV: Force answers that question.
Tommy Egan pitched an idea to create a street version of the current product. Of course Claudia objectified, but Liliana and Lauryn thought the idea could work. As good as this idea is, it could come with consequences.
That came into play later in the episode when Jenard found out about it when he was with one of Claudia’s suppliers unbeknownst to him. Once Jenard found out, he went straight to Diamond with it. Tommy did his best to hide the information Diamond asked about the product. Also, funny that Tommy was about to ask for a cup of coffee again in that diner and the owner flat out said no!
Jenard had really great scenes this week and I am starting to like the character more. I would say that this episode is his best in terms of character development and a good motive. Now that his cousin is involved in the current story, Jenard’s arch has much more flavor for the casual viewer to be interested. Especially since D-Mac warned Tommy Egan to watch his back. Jenard is doing these things behind Diamond’s back and it will come back to haunt him!
Diamond being with Adrienne could result to his downfall the closer they get together. It is beginning to have the same dynamic like Ghost and Angela did on the original Power. Adrienne is there to get a story out of Diamond and he does not know this yet!
After the street version of Claudia’s product was successfully made, Tommy, Liliana, Claudia, and Lauren tested it. Let’s just say that these four were on cloud nine with that hilarious ending. Solid episode!
