Star Trek is iconic and its popularity keeps growing and growing with each new project. The latest that premiered was Paramount +‘s Star Trek: Starfleet Academy in NYC and let me tell you, it is absolutely a must-watch series.
The first episode grasped me immediately with its futuristic graphics, set designs, costumes and special effects. The plot sealed the deal, and it gauged my heart strings being that the premise of the latest series is about a young boy who grew up in front of us, who got separated as a toddler by the government, and now he’s on the mission to find his mother.

The series perfectly mixes sentimentalism and sci-fi that leaves you wanting more. If you still don’t believe me, perhaps the talented and impressive cast will catch your attention. The series stars Paul Giamatti and Holly Hunter and on top of that there’s a new actor on the rise, Sandro Rosta, who effortlessly holds his ground alongside the Hollywood heavyweights. The new show not only reinvigorates O.G. Trekkies such as Bill Nye, who supported the new show on the carpet, but it also intrigues a new generation to join in on the adventurous journey.
