P1Harmony Breaks Down ‘EX,’ Spanish Version, Dream Night of Their Life & Upcoming Tour (EXCLUSIVE)

P1Harmony is back, and they’re making their own history with their first-ever English mini album, EX.

Not only does the project feature the bold, vulnerable storytelling the group is known for, but it also includes a Spanish version of the title track, showing just how global their vision really is.

With members even contributing to the writing of the tracks, EX feels as personal as it is powerful.  The release dropped just in time to fuel excitement for their upcoming North American and Latin American headline tour, and it’s already proving its impact: P1Harmony premiered “EX” live on Good Morning America, securing their spot on the global stage.

The Knockturnal is no stranger to P1Harmony, and fans know that KEEHO, JIUNG, INTAK, and JONGSEOB are credited as creative producers alongside THEO and SOUL.

This new era shows a different side of the group while staying true to their authentic artistry. Gone are the heavy superhero concepts; EX leans into brighter, lighter, “lover boy” energy with colorful visuals and playful vibes.

In the music video, the members pop with bold looks, from SOUL’s sunny yellow hair to THEO’s bubblegum pink and JIUNG’s purple highlights. The choreography matches the mood, fun, fresh, and so catchy that even non-dancers will want to get up and move.

INTAK described the track as having a “video game” vibe, which comes to life in the MV with JIUNG even appearing as a game character. It’s as entertaining to watch as it is to listen to. Watch the music video below!

The EX tracklist shows off P1Harmony’s range, with each song carrying its own unique sound and story. After the bold opener “EX,” listeners are treated to “Dancing Queen,” a track that THEO and JIUNG both called their personal favorite. Unlike the cuter vibes of the title, “Dancing Queen” leans more rock-forward, showcasing the group’s vocal power while still delivering sweet lyrics about love and admiration.

Next up is “Stupid Brain,” a vulnerable, deeply relatable track that stretches into the longest runtime in P1Harmony’s discography. As JONGSEOB shared with us in our interview, its four minutes capture the feeling of being stuck in your own head, wishing you could switch your thoughts off. The song is both melodically and lyrically striking, a message that hit home for KEEHO, who explained:

“If you get stuck in your own head too long, it can drive you crazy. For me, it’s about letting go, shutting off your brain a little, and trusting the flow of things. I think everyone needs to do that sometimes—just take it easy. That’s why the song really connected with me.”

Then comes “Night of My Life,” which throws it back with a nostalgic, early-2000s boy group vibe. It’s fun, energetic, and practically built for the stage, something we can’t wait to experience live on tour. In fact, during our conversation with the group, we flipped the script and asked about the real “night of their lives,” a playful nod to the track’s feel-good spirit.

Closing out the mini album is “EX (Spanish Version),” an unexpected but exciting twist. While P1Harmony has flirted with Latin-inspired sounds before, this is the first time they’ve gone full Spanish-language on a track.

JIUNG explained the decision simply: Spanish is one of the most widely spoken languages in the world, and it deserves recognition. Of course, we couldn’t resist asking, are any of the members secretly taking lessons?

Before P1Harmony sets out on their North American headline tour, P1ustage H: MOST WANTED (with a Latin American leg following it), we sat down with them to talk all things EX, from their favorite tracks, to the meaning behind the Spanish version to what their ultimate “night of their lives” might look like. Read the full interview below, or catch the video above!

The Knockturnal: The project kicks off with the track “EX,”  a song about letting loose, having fun, and being free. End of story, period. It’s very different from your previous comebacks, but it still ties into the self-love theme that’s always been a part of your music. INTAK, JONGSEOB, and KEEHO — you all worked on this track. Tell me more about the track.

KEEHO: It’s a fun, witty song. We don’t usually sing about love in our Korean releases, but in our English ones, we sometimes do. We wanted to continue that and broaden our spectrum lyrically. Love is a taboo subject for us, but we wanted to let our fans know it doesn’t always have to be romantic; it can also be platonic.

We felt it was important to encourage people to keep finding love that’s meaningful, deep, and true, not just light or empty. It’s a message for those who have been heartbroken and feel like giving up. We believe it’s always important to keep seeking love, because it’s one of the greatest things human beings can do for each other. In a world where we have to coexist, seeking real love, whether in relationships or friendships, is vital. We want to encourage that message.

The Knockturnal: Since we’re on the topic of “EX,” you also have a Spanish version, which is incredible. You’ve always been in touch with your international fans, and this feels like such a win for Spanish-speaking P1ECES.

What inspired you to do that? Was it something you wanted from the start? And,  be honest,  is anyone secretly taking Spanish lessons?

JIUNG: Spanish is one of the biggest languages in the world, and last year I wrote some lyrics in Spanish. I got hooked into Spanish, and now here we are with a Spanish version.

The Knockturnal: I love that. And of course, this project being English-focused is also exciting. Each song has its own vibe, but they’re all fun and meaningful. I’d love to hear from each of you: what’s your favorite track on the project, and why?

KEEHO: I’m torn between “Stupid Brain” and “Dancing Queen.” “Stupid Brain” really resonates with me, and I’m a sucker for any song that has strings.

INTAK: I like “EX.” The sound reminds me of a video game; it’s fun and something we’ve never done before.

SOUL: “EX.” I like that one!

JIUNG: For me, it’s “Dancing Queen.” It reminds me of a scene from a movie scene or something like La La Land — dancing under the moon, the stars.

JONGSEOB: I’d say “Stupid Brain.” It’s actually one of our longest songs in our discography, over four minutes. It’s an amazing song; in the middle of the song, there’s a bridge with an amazing guitar solo. Please look forward to it.

THEO: I like “Dancing Queen.” It’s very useful and will be fun to perform on stage during the tour.

The Knockturnal: You’ve mentioned “Stupid Brain” a few times, and I really connected with that one, too. It’s such a relatable song about self-doubt and overthinking.

Can you talk about what it means to keep that kind of vulnerability alive in your music?

KEEHO: What working on that track meant to me personally is that I’m such a perfectionist and an overthinker. When I create something, it has to match my vision exactly, or I get really stressed out. But I’ve learned that sometimes you have to trust the people around you and also trust your gut and instincts. Even if something feels imperfect, it can actually be more powerful than what you were trying to force.

That song resonated with me because it talks about taking a break. If you get stuck in your own head too long, it can drive you crazy. For me, it’s about letting go, shutting off your brain a little, and trusting the flow of things. I think everyone needs to do that sometimes, just take it easy. That’s why the song really connected with me.

The Knockturnal: That’s beautiful. On a lighter note, you also have the track “Night of My Life.” What would be your dream “night of my life”? On tour? A self-care night?

KEEHO: For me, it’d start with a nice cocktail, then heading to the beach for a bonfire. Roast marshmallows, maybe run into the water. Have fun in the water. Hang out with people I love, listen to music, and just enjoy the night. Just let my brain go!

INTAK: In a nice hotel, with a nice view. A night view in a city that doesn’t have other buildings around, so I can sleep soundly.

[AKA a 호캉스 (Hokangseu) means ‘a vacation mostly staying in a hotel’ or a Staycation]

SOUL: In a lot of nature. Warm green tea, with my dogs, and the smell of mosquito repellents. With a waterfall sound, looking up at the stars.

JIUNG: In a tent by the beach, fishing.

JONGSEOB: My ideal night is simple: playing games with good friends. Playing my favorite games. (League of Legends)

THEO: Honestly, a night where I can just lie in my bed and not wake up to an alarm the next morning.

The Knockturnal: Hopefully, you get to experience your “night of your life” soon! To close out, this project is short but impactful, and it’s dropping right before your North American tour. What do you hope P1ECES feel when they listen to EX?

KEEHO: We’re really excited to see what our fans think of this album. We had so much fun creating it, and we hope people enjoy it just as much as we did. Hopefully, you’ll also get to experience a lot of it on tour. We think many will resonate with the songs, and the visuals, like the music video and photos, are especially fun. They’re very different from what we usually do, so we believe our fans will really love it.

From vulnerability to global success, P1Harmony’s new era is nothing short of success-ridden, and they’re ending the year with a bang. With EX already making waves, the group is ready to bring their energy to fans worldwide on their headline tour, P1ustage H: MOST WANTED.
