Bridgehampton, NY: Guests came to attend the Women’s Health Magazine summer party accompanied by the Run 10, Feed 10 organization. Read on to hear about posh event!
On Saturday evening, Women’s Health Magazine hosted a beach party at the Bridgehampton Surf & Tennis Club, a historic club well situated between the ocean and Mecox Bay affording significant views in every direction. The annual event celebrates women’s health as well as Run 10, Feed 10, an organization committed to feeding local people who are going hungry. The method is simple: run a 10K. The organization, founded by Laura Bush Lauren has been very successful, raising a good deal of money and supporting good health as well as a commitment to local community.
It’s an effort worthy of celebration, and the support was massive. Despite some ominous clouds, hundreds of guest filled the beach (featuring a bonfire and beach beds and chairs) as well as the beautiful clubhouse with long couches, plenty of bars, passed snacks, a photo booth, free flip flops provided by Tkees, hair design and styling by Aussie, and more. The mood was festive and guests dressed to impress in mostly white (see: very Hamptons). Speaking of guests, there was no shortage of star power from Jamie Chung in a silky beige dress to Malin Akerman of The Watchmen and Billions. Others included Orange is the New Black star Taryn Manning and Arielle Kebbel.
The “Party Under the Stars” evening was filled with fun and conversation, as well as a DJ set by none other than Taryn Manning. With a silent auction to complete the fundraising effort, we can say with confidence this night was a huge success with a line of Uber cars and Hampton Jitneys lining the parking lot of the club. Until next year! For now, check out Run 10, Feed 10 or Women’s Health Magazine and race or go for a fun run in a city near you!
