The Lower East Side bar and lounge in New York City known as The Skinny, has redecorated to be the most decked out holiday bar in the city. Ornaments, red and green silky garlands and colourful lights cover the ceiling – think gaudy and this is exactly that. The Naughty or Nice Holiday Pop Up bar is NOW open to the public through the end of January 2022.
So, incase you’re away for the holidays, don’t worry, you have plenty of time to visit and try out one of many delicious Coping Mechanism cocktails. Some cocktails are like a slushie with whipped cream on top, some have a ginger bread cookie to go with it, but what they have in common is how delicious they taste. So much so, they might make you forget you could be getting coal for Christmas.
If the festive bar’s floor-to-ceiling, over-the-top, gaudy Christmas decor wasn’t enough, it boasts interactive games like a Wheel of Misfortune and a calendar full of surprises. Rudolph and his reindeer friends can be spotted on the wall alongside a wall of Bad Santa photos. Of course, you have Santa’s little elf helpers who you should definitely tip for the drinks they prepare for you in true holiday spirit.
Expect events that will place you on the naughty list like seductive burlesque performances, naughty Christmas caroling, karaoke. Give that angelic voice a spin and show the fans what you got!
Naughty or Nice has live music nightly and maybe if you’re lucky you might catch a glimpse of Santa, a Drag Queen Grinch or Mrs. Claus. Or in the event of a Christmas miracle, all three.
