On September 8th, The Academy of Art University’s New York Fashion Week Graduate Show premiered in Soho.
The show featured several talented rising designers and promising talent, all varying in styles and mediums of creativity.
The first designer presented a boxy, head gear-focused theme, with several of the models wearing a variety of hats and headgear. It was creative, considering hats are high in demand for spring
The line also included frills and ruffles – clearly an echoed theme and trend for Spring 2020.
The following models were draped in metallic silver, complemented by shades of muted pink, green, and black. Edgy and modern, the line also included asymmetrical cuts to make the pieces stand out.
A few later pieces also included gingham, another reoccurring theme that’ll certainly be in style for Spring 2020. These were followed by models wearing wispy and delicate material in shades of white and grey that could be certainly worn as upscale casual wear.
The designers, while young, certainly included and emphasized several trends for Spring 2020, leaving the audience on the sidelines hungry for more.
