Last Tuesday, February 12th, otherwise known as “212 Day” Knock helped Harlem’s finest celebrate their iconic style.
From Dapper Dan to Jerry Lroenzo, both old school and new school Harlem went hard for 212 day. Other notable guests and acts included Fab 5 Freddy, Teyana Taylor, Crystal Caines, A$AP Rocky, DJ Odalys, Venus X, Sebastian Mikael and A$AP Ferg. Sponsored by AT&T, 212 Day was essentially an indoor block party celebrating Harlem style, culture, community and music. The evening included performances by Teyana Taylor and Sheck Wes as well as a roundtable discussion moderated by Fab Five Freddy before he curated vibes on the 1’s and 2’s.
The fun-packed night took place at Terminal 5, which was overflowing with guests. Guests were served fried chicken sandwiches and complimentary “Lenox & 125th street” beverages. There were plenty of Instagramable scenes, props and moments throughout the night. The entire venue had been transformed to recreate historic Harlem restaurants and storefronts. Guests spent half the night taking pictures inside and outside the Harlem installations. The nostalgia of yesterday’s Harlem meshed perfectly with the street style and fashion of today’s Harlem.
