Revolt Live and Footaction hosted a free Future concert at the Hollywood Palladium on August 12.
Last month the artist attempted to throw a free concert in LA twice, and both times the venues shut it down due to the overflow of fans. But this time, in partnership with Footaction and Revolt TV 2,000 fans turned up to the Dirty Sprite 2 Takeover live recording.
Around 3 p.m., Casey Veggies opened up the show with a few of his West Coast hits, which got the crowd moving. Anticipation for Future followed, as the crowd began to chant his name repeatedly. After the Revolt team introduced him, fans went wild when Future appeared on stage. A brief interview was conducted before the performance. When asked “What are three things you must have with you in the studio?” The audience shouted out different answers before he could even respond. He then stated that the three necessities were dirty sprite of course, ‘loud,’ and family. He also made it a point to mention how important his fans are, and their immense support is the reason why he has the number one selling album in the country.
Future surprised the audience by performing every song off of DS2. If that wasn’t enough, he also did some songs from his mixtapes, Beast Mode, Monster and 56 Nights like “Real Sisters,” “Monster,” and “2Pac.” He stayed on stage past his allotted time and kept performing song after song, giving the crowd so much energy. There was never a dull moment and the crowd was hyped from beginning to end. It was definitely a successful event and Future’s appreciation for his fans made them show love in return. DS2 is out now and is available on iTunes. The DS2 World Tour will be coming soon.
