The Knockturnal was on the scene last week getting the latest on backstage beauty at Naeem Khan NYFW Fall/Winter 19.
For this season’s look, lead makeup artist Gato was inspired by the 70’s glamour of the collection. For Maybelline, he created a “feminine and sophisticated look” for the face consisting of glossy skin, shimmery eyes, big lashes and glossy nude lips. Gato wanted to enhance the models’ natural beauty. The blush for the look was Fit Me Blush in Peach and the lips were courtesy of Baby Lips Moisturizing Lip Balm in Quenched. Gato swears by the Volum’ Express Falsies Washable Mascara by Maybelline and says it’s the perfect touch to retro look.
