On The Scene: Love, Bonito shares a look into their fall collection with a “Pre-Fall Preview”

As the air begins to get chillier in the heart of SoHo, Love, Bonito’s iconicly pink pop-up shop has begun to bring out gorgeous autum hues to reside next to their summer pastels. As the seasons change, the style and comfort needs of the modern woman does as well, and no brand understands this better than Love, Bonito.

In a world where a divergence between fashion and functionality will often dictate what we should wear, the brand has emerged as a beacon of change, redefining the way women dress. Founded in 2005 by co-founders Rachel Lim and Viola Tan as BonitoChico, the brand has evolved into Love, Bonito, representing a true love letter to women everywhere. Their Fall 2023 collection is a testament to their mission of empowering women by offering styles that seamlessly blend style and functionality for the modern woman’s multifaceted life.

Love, Bonito’s journey began with a simple idea: to create a brand that truly represents women. Rachel Lim recognized the disconnect between the fashion industry’s offerings and the needs and desires of real women. In response, Love, Bonito was born, and it has since grown into one of Southeast Asia’s largest omnichannel womenswear brands.

The brand’s commitment to empowering women goes beyond the clothing they create. Love, Bonito aims to be with women every step of their life journey, from everyday essentials to workwear, special occasions, and life’s milestones. They celebrate the unique experiences of women, whether it’s a new job, a promotion, motherhood, or any other life event.

Fall is a season that brings a certain magic, and with it comes a new opportunity to refresh your wardrobe. The Fall Collection is a celebration of all things autumn, with the designs beautifully capturing the essence of the season with pieces that exude warmth, sophistication, and a touch of whimsy. From cozy knits to statement outerwear, every item in this collection tells a unique story, making it a must-have for fashion enthusiasts.

“This September, Love, Bonito captures the allure of the seasonal shift with the brand’s capsule of essentials, textured layering, and outerwear pieces,” The brand stated. “Each thoughtfully designed piece will inspire you to sing, dream, dance, and savor as you experiment with layering through the vibrance of fall. As we layer our styles, we also celebrate the unique layers that collectively shape our identities. A recognition of our experiences, personal narratives, cherished memories, and diverse roles, each contributing to our growth and self-discovery – Love Your Layers.”

Last week, the brand celebrated the launch of this cozy new collection with a “pre-fall preview” sip and shop experience. The evening featured Love, Bonito’s “Best of the Best” collection. These selected styles represent Love, Bonito’s best-selling pieces that highlight the thoughtful designs catered to meet the unique needs of everyday women.

Both the fall and best of the best collections were not only stylish, but posed solutions to the many quarrels that come about with the changing of the seasons. Transitioning from the warmth of summer to the coolness of autumn can be challenging for dress lovers, but Love, Bonito offers a solution. Their Fall Collection includes dresses that are not only stylish but also perfectly suited for the season. Long-sleeve dresses with floral prints, midi dresses in rich autumn colors, and versatile shirt dresses are just some of the options available, like the Dorsay Toga Maxi dress or the Jinri Asymmetric Bodycon Midi Dress. Pair them with tights and ankle boots for a chic and weather-appropriate look.
