Last Week, we had the pleasure of attending and chatting with some of the most talented individuals in Film and Television at HCA’s 2024 Annual Astra Awards; Barbie swept with eightΒ wins including Best Picture.Β
In attendance were some of the nominees and winners of the honorary awards to be given later that evening, and even some presenters. Here’s some of the talent that were able to stop by: Glenn Howerton (BlackBerry), Willem Dafoe (Poor Things), Alex Wolff (Oppenheimer), Hailee Steinfeld (Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse), and more!
We actually had the chance to speak with some of the winners and nominees on the red carpet before the ceremony to hear about their experiences making some of the most important films released in 2023, and 2024. If you missed them, we have the rest on our Instagram:Β
The Hollywood Creative Alliance (HCA) aims to nominate film and television which amplify diversity, equity, inclusion, and culture by increasing availability to this content.Β β2023 was quite the year for the film industry, which included a historic WGA and SAG Strike, one of the biggest film marketing campaigns with the success of βBarbenheimer,β and a wide array of spectacular movies,β Β said HCA Vice Chair Yong Chavez.Β
The ceremony was sponsored by Sommsation Wines, providing sommelier-curated wine tastings and wine pairings with dinner, and gifted winners and honorees with selected wines and accessories in a luxe bamboo gift box.
