On the Scene: Gillette Hosts ‘One Size Does Not Fit Every Man’ Showcase

Gillette launches new products by reminding us that “One Size Does Not Fit Every Man” with Justin Hartley and Devin & Jason McCourty.

In the heart of New York’s Flatiron district, Gillette transformed the upscale pool hall, Slate, into a part barbershop, part gift shop, and part fashion runway.  On Tuesday night, Gillette launched 5 new products and modeled 10 different ways for men to express themselves and style their faces.

Complete with barbers who served as grooming advisors to prepare personalized shave kits as well as an open bar (that always helps), and awesome swag bags, Gillette put on a great show of individuality with a twist. The fashion, rather, grooming show was hosted by NBC’s This is Us star Justin Hartley and men’s style influencer Adam Gallagher who actually styled each model.

The creative twist to the show featured 5 sets of identical twins, 2 of which play for the New England Patriots (Devin & Jason McCourty and Jacob and Cody Hollister) who each modeled different facial hair styles. The results were an inspiration for all guys to be bold and be unafraid to try something new to distinguish yourself from the pack.

I had a chance to catch up with Devin and Jason McCourty after the show and they were both excited to be part of the event.  Devin remarked that they “search for identical twin things to do together” and “were thrilled and happy to be able to partner with Gillette”.  When I asked them about their looks for the show, Jason mentioned that “this is a look he rocks year round and would definitely be keeping it”.

Jason was traded to the Patriots from the Cleveland Browns on March 15 and he says of reuniting with his brother “it’s kind of surreal, to have the opportunity to be on the same field, to be in practices together, to go through offseason workouts together, it’s been really cool”.
