“Coming 2 America” is a sequel that was a 32-year wait for fans of the original classic film. The comedy brings back the original stars Eddie Murphy, Arsenio Hall, Shari Headley, John Amos, and James Earl Jones. The sequel also has appearances from Gladys Knight, En Vogue, and Morgan Freeman.
The Knockturnal was able to take a trip to Zamunda all from the comfort of the couch with the virtual premiere. The virtual premiere was a cultural celebration where guests were sent Zamundan cocktails, crowns, flower petals, and goods from various Black-owned businesses around the country. Things all fit for the next queen to be. This was a partnership between Amazon video and Amazon Transportation’s 20 Amazon delivery vehicles, four trucks and one plane in eight key regions of the country to celebrate the Zamundan Royal Family’s return to America.

We will also support Black-owned restaurants in our communities by providing meals to those in need,” says Ukonwa Ojo, Global Chief Marketing Officer of Amazon Studios and Prime Video. 
A highlight from this partnership includes the services of an Amazon Airplane. A nineteen-and-a-half-foot tall image of Zamunda’s cherished King Akeem on the side of the aircraft. This Amazon Airplane will land in Queens, King Akeem’s home base in the United States, at John F. Kennedy International Airport, in addition to other regions across the country.
Along with Amazon’s partnership with Amazon transport, the premiere showed a virtual runway where attendees and stars were able to dress up and wear their crowns in order to prepare for the film. The virtual premiere party in typical Zamundan fashion was nothing short of excellent. Attendees were given a Rent the Runway code so they could dress their finest.
