Sugar, Spice, and everything nice. If you ask me, I’m positive those were the ingredients Christian Cowen used to create his Powerpuff girls inspired collection which helped celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Cartoon Network show. It’s probably no coincidence either that the runway show took place on International Women’s Day. The bold, colorful, collection celebrated girl power by highlighting and even featuring strong iconic women on the runway like Paris Hilton.
“Christian has made an incredible show, it’s a great cause and I’m just so happy to be here to support,” said Hilton before being swarmed by the Paparazzi and was whisked away backstage. Paris strutted down in head to toe Cowen with her puppy, Diamond, in arm in true Paris Hilton fashion (no pun intended). The natural blonde sported pigtails giving us “Bubbles” vibes while she walked down the Powerpuff colored runway.
Some other incredible females who pulled up to the function included Heidi Klum, Carly Rae Jepsen, Tinashe, Betty Who, Navia Robinson, Kim Petras, Skai Jackson, and Francia Raisa among several others. Shades of pink, blue, and green were seen in the unique designs in honor of the characters Bubbles, Blossom, and Buttercup from the cartoon.
“Of course buttercup cause she’s the spunky one,” revealed Tinashe when we asked which Powerpuff Girl she related to the most. Kim Petras also went with Buttercup, “cause she’s the sassiest.” Meanwhile, after catching up with Gia Gunn from RuPaul’s Drag Race, we found out she liked Blossom the most. “She’s kinda giving me asian realness and she looks badass but as far as I’m concerned they’re all really strong and powerful and I wish I was a superhero.”

“I love any ladies that kick ass so I’m kinda down for like crime fighting cartoon little girls,” said Betty Who. “I remember watching them when I was a kid and I can’t imagine a sort of better way to inspire little girls to also kick ass as well.”
Congratulations @christiancowan it was an honour to be an Empowerpuff Girl for the night. You are a star ⭐️ pic.twitter.com/GcyMaJqizd

The show concluded with some cocktails to celebrate the evening and music provided by Ty Sunderland. And the collaboration will benefit She’s the First (STF), a nonprofit organization that fights gender inequality through education.
