If you’re craving space to let loose and feel the beat, MUSICA is all yours.
Thankfully trading endless bottle service tables for big stages and vast dance floors, MUSICA is a dancer’s club, with plenty of space to stretch out. It is a bit rare to find a club with a real focus on music, but MUSICA lives up to the name, with a crowd that was ready to move.
MUSICA enjoys a secluded locale, right at the edge Manhattan at 51st and Westside Highway, affording it more interesting uses of space. MUSICA’s 25,000 square feet are spread across three floors, including an open rooftop with views of the Hudson River. MUSICA is the largest club in NYC, double the size of the next biggest space, Nebula in Times Square.
The main floor is comprised of three areas—two bars, a VIP lounge, cocktail lounge, intelligent lighting, and very impressive sound system. The sound is no joke, with reviews raving about its quality. With vivid lighting, performers hanging from the ceiling or going at it on an intimate stage, MUSICA really does provide that iconic nightclub scene, a rich combination of the chic and the theatrical.
For those with money to burn on bottle service, The Whisper Room has an opulent lounge with a bar, stage, private green room, private luxury booths and state-of-the-art lighting and sound.
MUSICA is leveraging its European connections well, securing globally renowned talent to hold down the two dance floors. David Morales just played there, and Nic Fanciulli played opening night, along with performances curated by Susanne Bartsch.
MUSICA nightclub in NYC
If you’re sensing a club revival in NYC, you’re not mistaken. After a wave of closures amid the heart of the COVID-19 pandemic, a number of new spaces have opened, with some having been long in the making. MUSICA is such a space, according to owner Tito Pinton (Of il Muretto club fame).
“After a successful debut in our original location in Riccione, which is widely known as the nightlife capital of Italy, we knew it was time to bring the concept to New York City,” said Tito Pinton in a press statement. “With the support and partnership of nightlife powerhouses like Susanne Bartsch, Lady Fag, Rocco Ancarola, and Francesco Belcaro, Musica provides New Yorkers with a nightlife experience like never before, including premium hospitality and service, unique immersive experiences, and top-tier entertainment.”
MUSICA is located at 637 West 50th Street and is open Thursday-Saturday from 11p.m. – 4a.m. You can stay up to date with the performance schedule on the MUSICA Instagram.
