With relaxed silhouettes, oversized proportions, and an effortless chic aesthetic, Noon by Noor presented their Spring/Summer 2016 collection.
The color palette included pale aqua, electric blue, gold, and dreamlike pastels like lavender and peach.
The cool girl vibe of the clothes extended into the hairstyle, and beauty of the models. All of them had a very relaxed type of hairdo and just the right amount of makeup to keep the skin looking beautiful but natural.
The show began with Varsity jackets and very youthful shapes with fun black and white prints. They transitioned into tropical leaf prints in a shift dress, and ended with stunning organza gowns.
The relaxed tailoring in feminine fabrics and soft textures, gave the collection a beautiful sense of juxtaposition.
Standout pieces that seemed to be the crowd’s favorite were the pale aqua embellished polo dress and the closing piece, the black mesh embellished drop waist gown.
We went backstage and had a chance to talk to the creative minds behind the cool girl hair, beauty, and nails look.
Hair by Linh Nguyen of Cutler Salons:
“Inspired by a really chic girl that is walking to a party and her hair just got a little bit wet with drizzle not monsoon just a little drizzle and we actually got the look by getting One United and using it as a heat protector, and the we took the top and did a little bun in the back and we pinned it and then the two sides in the bottom we braided them. We put the frizz cream in it just to make it look flatter, we braided it and we sprayed it with fashion work 12 and we flat ironed it. So that’s the look!”

“The look today is all based on a hint of metallic, it’s a little bit more sporty than glamorous so instead of doing a metallic eye shadow across the lid or some eye liner, we just did a bit of a highlight in the inner corner of the eye. The skin super creamy, it’s about perfect skin looking light. We have this product, strobe cream, which is one of the most amazing moisturizers because it gives a sheen to the skin. This is almost like a pinky lavender color and we all love it but have been asking for more colors so today we are using the new silver color on the cheek bones and the eye lids so it pulls in the silver highlight. We brushed up the brows and a warm hint of contour on the cheeks, and just kind of pale down the lips. So really, when they are walking what you see is this nice frame to the eye with this brushed up brow and you see a beautiful highlight on the tear dot. “

“We used two colors , One and Only and a beautiful calm silver. One coat of One and Only and we just followed with a vertical line not down the center but more towards the outside of the nail. We did it on the natural nails and we did the same thing on the toes. The whole inspiration came from the collection. A very youthful look, varsity style. A sportier look this season, very casual but still updated.”
