N.Flying proved once again why they’re one of the most unique bands in Korea with their Los Angeles stop of the LIVE WORLD TOUR “&CON4: FULL CIRCLE.” Though not yet a household name internationally, the group’s performance at the Ebell Theater showed exactly why their audience’s loyalty remains, and why they deserve even more love on the global stage.
Los Angeles marked the fifth stop of their seven-city U.S. run, and for many fans, this night carried extra meaning. It’s been two years since their last U.S. tour, and even longer since their appearance at KCON 2019. Now, with their new album Everlasting and a decade-long career to celebrate, N.Flying returned with a setlist that blended the freshness of their latest tracks with the nostalgia of their ten-year journey.
The energy in the theater was undeniable before the band even appeared. Fans clutched their signature light sticks, adorable in design.
When N.Flying finally took the stage, the connection was instant. The crowd roared, the band fed off the energy, and the night unfolded as a testament to why this group continues to stand out.
When the first notes of “Born To Be” rang out, the night officially launched into high gear. Jaehyun’s drumming immediately set the tone of the night, as each member commanded attention, whether through charged vocals, instrumentation, or both simultaneously.
With a quick shout of “What’s up, LA!” the band shifted into their second track, “Moonshot,” a fan favorite that had the crowd chanting along from the very first line. The chorus exploded, while the bridge offered a moment of calm before the audience erupted again like a shooting star.
Both vocalists, Seunghyub and Hweseung, went into insane high notes, even stepping onto raised platforms to deliver an even more powerful performance.
Between songs, the members paused to connect with fans. Leader Seunghyub introduced the group with a playful declaration that they were “all loverboys,” praising the LA crowd’s wild energy and calling out the “crazy condition” of the audience that night.
That energy carried straight into “I Like You,” an upbeat number that highlighted N.Flying’s duality. After two high-powered openers, this lighter, more playful track gave everyone the chance to sway, clap, and dance freely, even for those who didn’t know every lyric. The atmosphere made it impossible not to join in and move.
Next came “Into You,” another airy yet instrumentally rich song that kept the momentum alive, before the band transitioned into “Rise Again.” With its cinematic feel, the track showcased N.Flying’s well-known ability to deliver music that feels straight out of a drama or OST, a strength they’ve proven through past soundtrack contributions like “Like a Flower” from Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok-joo and “Awesome” from Hot and Sweet.
Sung entirely in Korean, the song didn’t slow the crowd one bit; fans across the theater sang in unison, proving just how deeply international audiences connect with N.Flying’s music. The willingness to learn, recite, and embrace every lyric underscored the band’s global impact, transcending language barriers through pure tune.
The mood then shifted with “Sunset.” Before the song, the members shared a story about their LA adventures, how they’d rented a $20 bike in Venice Beach and watched the sunset, inspiring the track.
As they led the crowd into a clapping rhythm, the stage burst into an even higher energy performance. It was easy to imagine coasting down the coast with the song blaring. The heat rose even higher when Seunghyub shed his jacket mid-song!
The momentum continued with “Run Like This” and fan-favorite “Blue Moon.” The chants during both were deafening, and when Blue Moon’s dreamy chorus hit, the entire venue glowed in blue.
The energy then turned meaningful with “Firefly,” subtitled as ‘Living the Flames of Your Own Youth.’ Hun’s fiery guitar solo stunned the room; afterward, he humbly explained that he simply trusted his hands and the audience to guide him, but his undeniable talent carried the moment.
From there, the group slowed things down with “Flashback.” Both vocalists took up instruments, one on piano, the other on guitar, creating a softer, emotionally charged moment.
The night reached another peak with “Oh Really.” The set went on with “Anyway,” “4242,” and “Say Goodbye,” each song pushing the energy higher.
Finally, N.Flying introduced “Everlasting,” the title track of their latest album, performed live for the first time in Los Angeles.
Whether through humor, high rock, or heartfelt ballads, the band broke language barriers with sound and sincerity.
