New York City Wine & Food Festival has taken a big bite out of the Big Apple once again!

Presented by Invesco QQQ, the premier wine and food festival is celebrating a fantastic 18 years of unforgettable culinary experiences.

The five-day annual festival this year showcases the talents of the world’s most renowned chefs, restaurants, creators, celebrities, wine and spirits producers, mixologists, and America’s beloved television chefs through more than 50 events—including walk-around tastings, intimate dinners, cocktail parties, brunches, master classes and FoodieCon®—highlighting the vibrant energy of New York’s food scene.

Launching at a brand-new campus in the historic Seaport neighborhood in Lower Manhattan, thousands of guests in the first two days have gathered at the waterfront setting for signature events and beloved experiences. Serving up the first hot dishes was an epic night led by Chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten.

Inside the Tin Building by Jean-Georges in the Seaport the divine marketplace was transformed into a splendid party full of sweet sip and savory supremeness.

Tin Building’s most celebrated restaurants offered up tastes of excellence, including: T. Brasserie – a modern French brasserie serving timeless classics with elegance; House of the Red Pearl – a hidden jewel offering bold, Asian-inspired dishes; The Frenchman’s Dough – wood-fired pizzas and rustic Italian favorites; Spoiled Parrot – playful sweets, confections and indulgent creations; and Patisserie – pastries and seasonal specialties from Executive Pastry Chef Rory Macdonald.

Jean-Georges was joined by Chef Gregory Gourdet—James Beard Award winner, “Top Chef” finalist, chef/owner of Portland’s Kann and Culinary Director for Printemps New York.

Then following on the second night The James Beard Foundation honored chefs whose visionary cooking continues to shape the future of food. Exceptional talents came together on the exclusive evening to honor their remarkable achievements and extraordinary influence.

James Beard Award-winning Chef Marcus Samuelsson hosted the event with truly special enthusiasm that the crowd indulged in all night.  Marcus featured more than 20 James Beard Award nominees. Each chef presented signature dishes that captured the essence of their artistry and innovation. To elevate the experience, a selection of premier wines and spirits, expertly chosen to complement every bite, were poured throughout the event, creating an exquisite harmony of flavors.

More than a celebration, this gathering put a bright spotlight on the festival’s beneficiary, the James Beard Foundation—an influential leader for over 30 years dedicated to fostering a vibrant, equitable and sustainably independent restaurant industry that stands as a cornerstone of American culture, community, and economy.

Here is to an ongoing weekend of delicious fun in the city.
