New Music Roundup: Releases You May Have Missed

We’re closing out the month with some of our favorite new releases. In this edition of our NMR, you’ll find music from Bender, Lunnari, Whipped Cream, and more.

BENDER – WTF [MARVELOUS ACCIDENTS]

Electronic music’s great contrarian Bender drops a no-nonsense house heater with “WTF?” on his Marvelous Accidents imprint, perfectly capturing the beautiful chaos of European club culture that first blew his mind. Built around the infectious vocal sample “la gente está muy loca,” the track channels Bender’s first Ibiza experience—that moment when he witnessed Spanish party culture and thought exactly what the title suggests. “I remember my first time in Ibiza; I kept flashing back to that line and thinking, ‘Yep, that makes a whole lot of sense now!’” he explains. The result is peak-time euphoria distilled into punchy kicks, pulsating basslines, and raw underground energy that strikes the perfect balance between classic house aesthetics and modern club appeal. Released through his platform for artistic freedom that deliberately defies industry branding, “WTF?” embodies Bender’s “musical ADHD” philosophy: the ability to traverse genres without restriction while building authentic connections over conformity. Currently holding down his sought-after UNVRS residency at The Wild Comet (a micro-club hidden within the hyperclub’s restrooms), Bender continues proving why he’s electronic music’s most unpredictable force, having shared stages with RÜFÜS DU SOL, Carl Cox, and The Martinez Brothers while refusing to be boxed into any single sound.

LUNNARI – EASY TO LEAVE [JOYTIME COLLECTIVE]

Rising Mexican producer Lunnari delivers internet-era aesthetics meets underground club futurism with “EASY TO LEAVE,” the latest addition to Marshmello’s Jumpstart Vol. 1 compilation, celebrating 10 years of Joytime Collective. Born Alicia Victoria Luna in Boca del Río, Mexico, Lunnari has been crafting forward-thinking electronic music since age 11, drawing inspiration from genre-benders like Skrillex, SOPHIE, and QUEST. The track lives at that sweet spot between delicate and disorienting, where synths blur the line between soft and unrelenting while maintaining a fully futuristic edge. “Chatting with Mello and releasing this song with Joytime has been an incredible experience,” Lunnari shares. “This entire journey is quite new to me, so I’ve learned a lot and felt a kind of excitement I haven’t experienced before.” Since her breakout 2021 debut “soulless” earned early co-signs from Subtronics and SVDDEN DEATH, she’s steadily built a reputation for emotional depth across releases like her dear pink diary EP and cuts on respected labels like Halcyon and Boombox Cartel’s MONTA imprint. Following KILLMATTER‘s “BALENCIAGA BARBIE” as the second drop from the compilation, “EASY TO LEAVE” perfectly encapsulates Joytime’s mission to introduce the next wave of genre-defying talent set to shape electronic music’s future.

MAX LOW – ADDICTED EP [UPRISE MUSIC]

LA-based house duo Max Low steps into more personal territory with their “Addicted” EP, a confident two-track drop that builds on the momentum of recent banger “Groove on Display” while revealing new depths to their sound. The EP opens with “My Addiction,” marking the first time Jamie and Kiraleigh have used their own vocals on a release, creating a gritty tech house groover where minimal percussion meets intimate vocal hooks that hit deep and linger long after the track ends. “This EP is a dive into our signature sound, but cranked up a notch,” the duo explains. Flip to “Plastic Fantastic” and you’re treated to a cooler, hypnotic ride featuring textured low-end and chopped vocal samples that provide the perfect mid-set reset moment. Both tracks showcase Max Low’s innate understanding of club dynamics – knowing exactly when to punch and when to breathe across dancefloors from LA to Amsterdam. Having built their catalog across forward-thinking labels like Terminal Underground, IN/ROTATION, and Farris Wheel, the duo continues proving that their journey from clothing store colleagues to house music force isn’t slowing down.

WHIPPED CREAM x BKAYE – NEVER MINE [MONSTERCAT]

Boundary-pushing producer WHIPPED CREAM teams up with rising dance artist BKAYE for their second collaboration, “never mine,” a hypnotic anthem that perfectly balances emotional storytelling with dancefloor destruction. Dropping via Monstercat, the track opens with ethereal synths and echoing ambiance before WHIPPED CREAM’s tantalizing vocals cast a spell over groove-filled basslines and tech house-inspired drops. “This record is truly special to me because of how much emotion it carries without being overwhelming,” explains WHIPPED CREAM. “The synths feel like they are breathing, and the vocals say everything by saying so little. This song is for anyone who knows what it feels like to miss something they have never really had.” For BKAYE, the collaboration process came naturally, blending WHIPPED CREAM’s darker basslines and vocal melodies with his euphoric, ethereal chord progressions to create what he calls “a unique fusion of our sounds.” The track serves as a sonic follow-up to their previous collaboration “real 4 me” from WHIPPED CREAM’s “is this real?” EP, showcasing how the pair has developed their creative chemistry. As WHIPPED CREAM continues exploring new territory under her house and techno alias while preparing for summer sets at Tomorrowland Belgium and Shambhala, “never mine” stands as both a deeply personal record and an undeniable dance weapon, designed for those peak moments when emotional vulnerability meets peak-time energy.

FEINT x DJ SALLY – BLOOM [STARSENT]

Manchester producer Feint and rising Chinese talent DJ SALLY kick off something special with “Bloom,” the debut release from Feint’s newly founded Starsent label that’s designed as a cultural bridge between Eastern and Western electronic communities. The track embodies this cross-cultural mission perfectly, opening with shadowy atmospherics before building into a 130 BPM club weapon punctuated by rattling basslines, distorted vocal cuts, and sharp low-end movement that showcases both artists’ strengths. For Feint, who’s cultivated a global career with releases on Monstercat and collaborations with Laura Brehm and MUZZ, this marks a focused effort to create a gateway for Western artists entering the Chinese scene while spotlighting new voices from the region. DJ SALLY, dubbed “China’s female James Hype” for her commanding 4-fader live mixing and stage presence, brings serious floor control to the collaboration—she’s already made history as the first Chinese female DJ to partner with Sony Music and Barong Family. The result is a cinematic yet club-ready statement that combines Feint’s melodic depth with DJ SALLY’s tech house prowess into something that feels both unified and dynamic. More than just a launch single, “Bloom” represents Starsent’s mission to connect continents through music and amplify creative dialogue between two powerful electronic scenes, setting the stage for what promises to be a fascinating label journey ahead.

HYPNOZA x JORDAN GRACE – HEART OF STONE [PINKSTAR BLACK RECORDINGS]

NYC and Poland-based producer HYPNOZA delivers her most emotionally intense work yet with “Heart of Stone,” a cinematic melodic techno journey that captures the delicate balance between vulnerability and strength. Teaming up with singer-songwriter Jordan Grace on PinkStar Black Recordings (the deeper sub-imprint of Swiss powerhouse Sirup Music), the track showcases why HYPNOZA has become one of melodic techno’s most compelling new voices in less than a year. “‘Heart of Stone’ started, like all my tracks do, with the melody—it is always the heart and soul of my music,” explains HYPNOZA, whose background as a full-time board-certified psychiatrist brings unparalleled emotional depth to her productions. The track locks listeners into a heightened state of consciousness with driving deep basslines that fuse melodic techno and trance elements, while Grace’s evocative vocals tell a powerful story of resilience through a soul-stirring breakdown that gradually rebuilds to a breathtaking climax. What makes this release particularly special is HYPNOZA’s meticulous attention to contrast—the rolling bass sets energy while the breakdown breathes, giving space for emotion before melodic techno synth stabs restore intensity without losing feeling. With standout performances at premier NYC venues like Marquee and an international debut at Amsterdam Dance Event already under her belt, plus upcoming dream shows at Legia Warszawa and ING Silesia Beats in her home country of Poland, “Heart of Stone” marks the beginning of what promises to be a breakout second half of 2025.

LEMI VICE – CALOR DE TURBO [LAZER METAL RECORDS]

Indianapolis producer Lemi Vice cuts straight to the chase with “CALOR DE TURBO,” a deliberately catchy club weapon that showcases his sharpest vision yet. Released on Lazer Metal Records as the first taste of his upcoming album ‘REDLININ’, the track wastes no time hooking listeners with a groove that’s playful on the surface but anchored by tightly controlled production that gives it serious punch. Clean, charismatic vocals are laid in with precision, allowing the arrangement to breathe without losing momentum while percussion drives and basslines thump with crystalline clarity. What sets this apart from Lemi’s previous work is the sense of control—no tricks or overproduction, just natural flow where every transition feels intentional and purposeful. The track represents a noticeable progression for the producer who’s been balancing underground grit with pop-aware sensibility since 2013, earning support from Diplo and Major Lazer while collaborating with artists like 2 Chainz. His genre-bending approach moves fluidly between bass and house, creating something that hits perfectly in club sets while holding its own during solo listening sessions. With over a decade of studio experience rooted in Midwest upbringing and club culture, “CALOR DE TURBO” captures both the fun and flavor Lemi’s known for while signaling he’s stepping into a refined, confident new phase that promises high-octane energy from his forthcoming full-length.
