Our latest installment of our NMR features nothing but hits from Benson x Tommy Trash, ALRT, Max Low, Anna Sofia, and more.

BENSON x TOMMY TRASH – SPILT MILK [ULTRA RECORDS]

Household names in the Australian dance music circuit, Benson and Tommy Trash bring the sounds of the underground to the global spotlight with their new tech-house romp, “Spilt Milk.” One of Australia’s most notable dance music exports over the past decade, Grammy-nominated powerhouse Tommy Trash’s luminous career is one beaming with high-caliber accolades and prestige. In tandem with ARIA-nominated producer Benson, the dance music staple has delivered a four-on-the-floor dancefloor ringer that sticks with you long after its final electronic crescendo.

ALRT – POPPIN [NRG RECORDS]

Incessantly thinking outside of the box, and experimenting with elements of various genres to produce his token sound, ALRT exceeds modern-day music expectations. Utilizing influences of trap, old-school, house, dubstep, and hardstyle, ALRT continues to push the limits of music production, inspiring electronic music lovers and producers everywhere.  His latest offering, “Poppin,” ALRT serves up a homogeneous mixture of jersey-club bounce and trap-inspired synth work to deliver the perfect example of a hybrid heater. Off the bat with intoxicating white noise and quick house beats, ALRT flips the switch on the second drop, surprising fans with a slew of scattered synths for the ultimate surprise. From its distorted percussion, surprise half-time drop, and fluid vocal chops, this modernized masterpiece is sure to leave listeners wanting more from the rising producer.

RN ISMO – ALL I CAN BE EP [ADMIT ONE]

Saving lives by day and crafting music by night, RN ISMO has become a name to remember. Inspired by the Detroit underground scene, RN ISMO’s production stems from the minimalistic approach while maintaining its essence on the groove and catchy hooks. His debut EP,  All I Can Be, embodies the craftsmanship and development he bestows upon fans in his home base Detroit, as well as new fans around the world. The project is a strong house-led 4-tracker Admit One, and doubles as an ode to the versatility and vigor that RN ISMO pours into his music, despite only getting started. The titular track mixes old-school elements reminiscent of a golden era of house eclectically blended in with a new-school touch; “Addicted” fires off from the get-go, setting the mood promptly with no warning; “Wonder” goes heavy on the basslines here, featuring a darker atmosphere and a minimalist approach.

MAX LOW – GOOD TIME [IN / ROTATION]

Beatport-charting, and coming duo Max Low knows how to craft an anthem. Seattle-born and LA-based, they found an affinity for dance music in the heart of an expanding electronic music scene before moving south. While only just forming in 2022, Max Low has already served as a mainstay in house music in a past life, previously placing successful top tracks on Toolroom, Farris Wheel, Hood Politics, and LOW CEILING. Their latest hit, “Good Time,” landed on IN / ROTATION‘s highly lauded annual VA, Rotate, alongside tracks from Lost Capital, Miguel Bastida, Hood Rich, and more. The slick cut wastes no time setting the mood with tight-knit tech-house percussion piercing the air. The rest of the track blends a soul-stirring choir, dirty synth melodies, and an irresistible climax that cascades into a drop.  In “Good Time,” the devil is in the details. Confident vocals and a sultry kick add an edgy allure that hits the brain on conscious and subconscious levels. The track was born in a post-show, late-night creative session and the nightlife is where it’s meant to live.

ALICE.KM – BELTANE [IAMHER]

alice.km is a genre-bending producer and DJ, with releases on Saturo Sounds, Heist Mode, and LTHM Records, with her style ranging from bouncy to groovy house to minimal to melodic techno. Her latest release of the year, “Beltane, seduces the mind and subtly immerses you into a hypnotic, sedated trance.  Mystical echo/delayed vocals work their magic, helping infuse just the right amount of personality into this ambient journey through her unique vision. For alice.km, this was a production that was simply meant to me, the pieces of what this would become being more organized mentally than what the music creation process tends to be for her. “Beltane,” has found a home alongside 3 other tracks via the Running Wild VA compilation, a collection of tracks put out by the label IAMHER. The imprint is founded and operated by renowned act Underher, featuring well-curated selections that all must pass a quality standard they approve of and that find a fit.

ANNA SOFIA – CRUEL WORLD

Growing up just outside of Toronto, Canada, Anna Sofia performed on every stage that would have her, from school recitals to her family restaurant, dreaming of moving abroad to perform like the artists she admired, from Sir Elton John to Tyler the Creator. Now at 18, Anna Sofia has accrued millions of streams and a legion of dedicated fans for one reason: she’s honest. In her new single and music video,  “Cruel World,” she showcases people who will do anything for power, ignoring the consequences that come with it. She reveals her realization that the world is a harsh place when you’re living as if you’re the only one in it. The visual focuses on the same physical and mental confines presented in the “No.5” visual, but this time with experiments from the outside world. Part of a larger, upcoming film project from Anna, the video leaves fans questioning what’s next for Anna. Her “LET ME OUT I’M FREE!” debut EP is due for release on May 19.
