Check out 5 tracks we can’t stop listening to this week.
CANABLISS – FREAK IT [SSKWAN]
Fast-rising musician and producer Canabliss catapulted into the world of bass music over the past couple of years with her signature sound. Marking her SSKWAN debut and first single of 2021, Canabliss reveals a bass-heavy tune, ‘Freak It.’ The track opens with a simple yet entrancing synth-forward melody that slowly progresses into Canabliss’ trademark wobble bassline. Throughout the single, Canabliss takes listeners to a dream-like soundscape. Floating between experimental and future bass, ‘Freak It’ delivers an enthralling, sonic experience, primed to be the perfect addition to anyone’s playlist this summer.
CASPER SUN – CHILL W U FT. SUNROOF95
With each atmospheric chord, Casper Sun’s newest release, “Chill W U” embarks on a spiritual journey through celestial soundscapes, all while invoking the heartfelt desire to rekindle old connections. Paired with Sunroof95’s captivating vocals, “Chill W U” fuses uplifting electronica with emotive instrumental stretches. With empyrean sound gifted straight from the cosmos, the tune weaves a sentimental tale of longing for a loved ones’ company before plummeting into an otherworldly surge of resonating kicks and a seductive trill of electric guitar. In its entirety, “Chill W U” duals as a summer anthem and a vibrant exploration into humanity’s never-ending quest for connection.
MATRODA x SAN PACHO – LA PASION [TERMINAL UNDERGROUND]
The prolific Matroda has teamed up with up-and-comer San Pancho for a new dark-house/tech-house weapon, “La Pasion.” Rhythmically repeated and looped are the words of the title track, “La Pasion / La Pasion,” which is followed by sensual feminine phrases spoken in a romantically tinged Spanish accent-free of time signature. The tight percussion and gritty bassline inject club-friendly energy and hold the core of the experience neatly together. Matroda is the epitome of what it means to be in the know. The solo DJ/producer’s passion for house music plays a critical role in evolving him into the main touchstone of EDM around the world.
ELLIS – ORBIT (SPARKEE REMIX) [MONSTERCAT]
Sparkee follows his official Tiësto remix, “The Business,” with an out-of-this-world remix of “Orbit” by London-based producer Ellis. Released via Monstercat, the track is part of a 3-track EP that featured the winners of a remix contest. Earlier this year, Sparkee set out to complete a 52-week remix challenge where he creates a new remix every single week and streams that process live on Twitch every Thursday at 8 pm ADT. This remix is one of the tracks from his 52-week remix challenge.
DREAMOIR – WORTH IT [NEW DAWN COLLECTIVE]
Cinematic Bass – a new genre pioneered by hungry, driven, DREAMOIR, represents more than a music project. It’s a place where you can be whatever you like – a space where dreams and memories collide. The alias name perfectly fits DREAMOIR’s latest, “Worth It“- creative, imaginative, and epic; that combines ideas from orchestral movie soundtracks, dubstep, and infectious mainstream pop music in a way that feels brand new.
“Worth It” weaves a conflict between trust, dedication, and commitment — the outcomes of her own campaign of revenge against deceit. An eye for an eye; fairness will be restored despite countless casualties, for the evil spreads like a wildfire, destroying everything in its path.
