Good morning New Yorkers. Despite the rain, I woke up with a smile today. Why you might be wondering. Well, I’ll tell you. Mike Nervous and Benny Soto are bringing killer DJ duo Pan-Pot for an incredible boat party!
Electronic dance shows, and any show really, can be enhanced by the location in which it is taking place. Dancing in a club is definitely different than dancing on a beach, or a boat. What better way to experience pure talent, heart-filling beats, and happy vibes than on the water along one of the greatest skylines of the world?
So whether you are a tourist and you’re looking for the funnest way to experience the delight of tall buildings and NY’s killer sunsets, or you’re a New Yorker who has seen it all and can’t get enough, join Mike Nervous and Benny Soto in their celebration of music. Music lovers will gather on 42nd st and West Side Hwy, where they will board a Circle Line Sightseeing boat at 7 to embark on this 4-hour musical journey.
If this hasn’t caught your interested just yet (in which case, please reevaluate), then let me tell you about the dynamic duo that is Pan Pot.
I came across the unbelievable duo Pan-Pot, made up of Berliners Tassilo Ippenberger and Thomas Benedix, a couple of months ago, when I was browsing techno sets on youtube. One of their sets led me to another, then another, then another. I was impressed by how consistently they had their A-game with every song they played in every set I heard. I was lucky enough to experience their set at Schimanski, a couple months back. Not only do they create music that is experimental, outside of the box, really good and offers a new perspective on the electronic music world; but they also perform spectacular sets, which have to make them very acclaimed. The duo has had the chance to perform in smaller club setting like Schimanski, as well as some of the biggest electronic music festivals like Awakenings, Time Warp, Creamfields, HYTE, amongst others.
Dealing with one’s own ideas can be challenging, let alone two. Pan-Pot, however, just happens to combine into a beautiful mix of different background and interest, resulting in a prime electronic duo.
As a person who has experience boat parties and a Pan-Pot set, I urge you to attend. The combination of these two will be like your most exquisite gourmet platter.
PS: Don’t let a little rain scare you, it will be a Rain or Shine event so we will be protected from the rain either way. Hope to see you there!
