Brought to theaters by award-winning director and cinematographer Nadia Hallgren, KATSEYE: WILD HEARTS delves into the girl group navigating the highs and lows of pop stardom following their debut.
Those who are not familiar with Hallgren would have certainly seen or heard of her work. Her prominent directorial credits include After Maria, Becoming (through which she scored multiple Emmy nominations), Civil, and Victoria Beckham. In 2024, she also helmed the production of Netflix’s Pop Star Academy: KATSEYE, which followed up with the formation of the girl group, KATSEYE, through the HYBE x Geffen Records survival show, The Debut: Dream Academy. Her newest documentary, KATSEYE: WILD HEARTS, is described as a love letter to the group’s fans, EYEKONS, and shares an intimate look behind the popstars’ rise to fame as a global music force.

“It’s easy to think performers have it made because, you know, they have fans, and people love them, and they’re traveling all over the world,” Hallgren told The Knockturnal. “But what it takes to get on that stage and be that person…I think we show even just the tip of the iceberg.”
