Music made a difference to over 400 students from the Los Angeles area last Thursday night when academics and artists alike came together to celebrate GRAMMY in Schools Live! A celebration of Music and Education.

Members of the Grammy Camp jazz session and participants of the Grammy Career Day Program showed off some major talent in front of a packed house in the Novo Theatre. Also there showing support and putting on an amazing show were guest performers and Grammy nominees Aloe Blacc (Grammy nom. Best R&B Album, “I Need a Dollar”, “The Man”) and KING (Grammy nom. Best Urban Contemporary Album, “Move Love”, Everything’s Beautiful). Both had the audience on its feet and sad to see the evening end.

Through this dedication and the generous support of Ford, GRAMMY in School Live! hosted an exciting and entertaining evening of music and singing which paid an homage to some of jazz history’s brightest lights in Ella Fitzgerald and Louis Armstrong. It would be no surprise to see some of the night’s student performers following in their guest performers’ prestigious steps.
