Mayenda Tequila, the new luxury sipping tequila from Campari Group, hosted its global debut in New York City on May 11th.
The entire evening was a transformative experience from the moment guests walked through the door till the time they left. The venue was filled with decorations and designs intended to transport attendees to the fields of Jalisco, where each bottle of Mayenda is created. Each space was dedicated to enhancing and informing each person through various interactive stations, which included multiple group tastings and an aroma table. The creators of Mayenda Tequila pride themselves on their pioneered technique that creates a richer and more complex Blanco tequila specifically for sipping. This process allows this product to capture each flavor and aroma of cooked agave often lost in tequila-making.
In addition to the drinks, there was music played by Ross One and Harley Viera-Newton which helped set the mood, and small bites created by Chef Julian Medina’s kitchen. Medina is the owner of Toloache, Coppelia, Tacuba Mexican Cantina, La Chula Taqueria, and El Fish Marisqueria, and he specifically created an entire menu that complimented the flavors of the tequila. Jeweler Mauricio Serrano was also in attendance, demonstrating his copper medallion that is accompanied on every bottle, and guests left with a copper bracelet created by him. The entire evening was a great way to introduce the brand and provide an authentic representation of what Mayenda Tequila has to offer.
Mayenda is available on ReserveBar.com and select retailers nationwide.
