Marvel’s ‘Jessica Jones’ Teaser Trailer Released; Given November Release Date

Following in the success of Daredevil, Marvel looks to continue their dominance on the little screen with a character unknown to most audiences.

When Daredevil hit Netflix in April, Marvel had themselves a massive hit on their hands. I’m sure they expected it to be successful to a degree, but the fact it was universally acclaimed by critics and audiences was something they could have never imagined. Especially since some people were suggesting that Daredevil was the best bit of entertainment they’ve ever created in their gigantic Cinematic Universe. To put it simply: following this monster up would not be easy. Lucky for Marvel, it looks like they may have themselves another solid show in Jessica Jones.

I’m sure some people have been wondering, who is Jessica Jones? Since if you weren’t…well…I was. Jones was once a superhero herself until her career ends where she then opens up a detective agency. The Daredevil series hit on a lot of adult themes, including in one episode where it focuses on human trafficking. Lucky for Jessica Jones, her comics are all adult themed and some even are insanely dark…I won’t go into details unless the show goes in that direction but just know that one character has the ability to make people do some dark, uncomfortable things. It’s safe to say the Marvel Netflix shows are taking a much darker approach than anything seen in the movies, and I’m okay with that.

Marvel’s Jessica Jones is developed by Melissa Rosenberg and stars Krysten Ritter, David Tennant, Mike Coller, Rachael Taylor, Carrie-Anne Moss, Eka Darville, Erin Moriarty, and Wil Traval. You can find Jessica Jones on Netflix on November 20, 2015…so let your family know you’ll be busy for Thanksgiving Break and you’ll see them another day.
