A beautiful Cognac expression that perfectly encapsulates the essence of whiskey and wine
Last week, Martingale Cognac hosted an event celebrating the global launch of their new Cognac Spirit. The event took place at The Rally Museum where guests were able to sample the new spirit both by itself and as the base for craft cocktails. The event was a lush and lavish soiree where some of New York City’s biggest influencers and tastemakers attended and enjoyed this ultra-premium spirit. Bites were served, drinks were flowing, and spirits were high at this Martingale Cognac global launch party. 
By itself, Martingale Cognac melds the worlds of whiskey and wine perfectly. The body of the Cognac resembled that of a beautiful and lightweight whiskey while maintaining some of the floral and fragrant aromas from a red wine. On the eyes, it is a beautiful honeyed amber color that glistens while in the bottle. On the nose you will find beautiful notes of vanilla and almond and a taste embodies the essence of freshness. There are heavy notes of oak in the first sip that is balanced out by elongated floral and fruity notes. And the finish is soft and light with a lingering wood note to it.
Founded in 2023, Martingale Cognac is a creation that comes from Guillaume Thomas and Amaury Thomas, fourth-generation custodians of one of the most coveted domaines in the appellation. The family has been silently making spirits for over 100 years but it isn’t until now that they are selling their creation directly the consumer. Moreover, Martingale Cognac leverages the families’ 100-year Cognac making craft when creating this spirit.
