MAGIC! released their first single off their upcoming second album March. 25.
“Lay You Down Easy” Ft. Sean Paul was on the set list for the bands performances earlier in the month at SXSW to kick off the debut. The new single continues the reggie pop vibe that the quartet established with their hit “Rude.” The single is catchy and has an easy groove to it, perfect for the upcoming warm weather. MAGIC! has just come off of their Brazil tour and will be adding more tour dates for spring and summer. The details on the dates and venues can be found on their website. As of now they’ve announced they will be at the Honolulu Ekiden and Music Festival in May and a brief stop in Jamaica in July. Their next album is set to be released during the summer as well.
The band, comprised of Mark Pellizer, Alex Tanas, Ben Spivak and Nasri have gained a lot a success recently with “Rude.” The single from their first album Don’t Kill the Magic was a #1 hit on Billboard and around the world in 41 countries. In the past year the boys have won several Billboard awards and two Juno awards for their catchy, reggae tunes.
