The Knockturnal was on the scene at the 2026 SXSW Film & TV Festival to speak to the cast and crew of Love Language at the world premiere on Mar. 16, 2026, at the Zach Theatre in Austin, TX.
Written and directed by Joey Power, starring Chloë Grace Moretz, Anthony Ramos, Manny Jacinto, Isabel May, Lukas Gage, Billie Lourd, Daniel David Stewart, Chloe Fineman, Zach Zucker, Morgan Jay, Bobbi Althoff, Marcánt Davis, and Dan Perrault. Colin Jost served as a producer of the film.
Love Language centers on Louisa ‘’Lou’’ Klassner, an aspiring author who works as a copy editor for a tortilla chip company, who, after being unceremoniously dumped by her fianceé, pivots into starting a side hustle of wedding vows for other people. Lou soon reconnects with her college best friend and long-time crush, Warren. This happy reunion turns from sweet to sour when she discovers that he is the fiancé of one of Lou’s wedding vow clients. Being in the middle is no fun as she explores the complex nature of love and relationships in both her private and professional life. This is a rom-com about reconnection and going after what the heart wants, even if complicated.
