Why We Loved The ‘Big Little Lies’ Soundtrack

With the season finale of Big Little Lies, comes an awesome soundtrack we will  be listening to all summer long.

The hottest drama on t.v this season finally came to an end on April 2nd, but the soundtrack is what is here to stay. The cast was to die for with the best actors such as Reese Witherspoon, Nicole Kidman, Zoe Kravitz, Shailene Woodley and Alexander Skarsgard. Which basically throws them all into a murder/mystery version of The Real Housewives of Monterey, California.

The opening sequence was the trance that sucked you in, the artist is Michael Kiwanuka. The song “Cold Little Heart” is just perfect for all the backstabbing we saw in the series. I think we can all relate to it a little and that is why it gives chills as the British singer’s soulful voice traps us.

There are even tracks by Leon Bridges, Sade, Conor O’Brien, indie singer Sufjan Stevens, Otis Redding and more.

There was even a scene that Kidman, Witherspoon and Woodley sang Fleetwood Mac’s Dreams. There is even a song sung by Zoe Kravitz herself called “Don’t.” The whole soundtrack itself is very folk combined with soul. Which matches the ending perfectly. Let’s just hope there can be a hopeful season two along with another amazing album.

You can now stream the soundtrack on Spotify.
