Designed for the brand’s younger, more global customers, the new Nautilus has a greater focus on technology, design, and powertrains ideal for those those craving -you guessed it- Sanctuary.

Lincoln’s mission is dead simple: make your car the most comfortable place in the world. The idea of what Lincoln calls “Sanctuary” has weaved its way through Lincoln’s entire lineup at this point, offering owners a unique experience of well-integrated technology and safety features, exceptional cabin comfort, and great driving dynamics in the name of total serenity. Lincoln’s slick Corsair (which we just reviewed) and Aviator (which we also reviewed) and market-establishing Navigator, all designed with Sanctuary in mind, have put Lincoln in a confident position in terms of global sales and brand allegiant. But with a half-hearted lifecycle refresh and the discontinuation of it’s Ford-brand sibling, the middle-child Nautilus was stuck in an existential limbo. Until now.

Lincoln Motor Company unveiled the 2024 Nautilus to an audience that wasn’t expecting much to change. In fact, rumors were flying that the Nautilus would be discontinued in the US, following the actual fate of its sibling, the Ford Edge.

The Nautilus introduces new levels of connectivity and personalization, setting a new standard in an extremely competitive segment.

2024 Lincoln Nautilus Exterior: New Territory for Lincoln

With an available contrasting glossy black roof, expansive light signatures,  and integrated Quiet Flight 2040 design elements, the new Nautilus is by far the most visually progressive model in the Lincoln lineup. A spunky, sleek adventure in design, the Nautilus feels quite European in its tone and inspiration- very detailed and finished, fully inspired by the brand’s nautical and aero influences. An upright front fascia is complimented by a side profile that is clear of blemishes like door handles, opening space for a larger brushstroke that features the Nautilus name.

The exterior is wholly new territory for Lincoln, where designers seem to have been invited to push the envelope a bit further than with the grand Navigator and the extremely streamlined Aviator. The Nautilus grows in most dimensions, gaining two inches in width and length. It looks far more present and aggressive, with a wide hood and sloping tail. With an available “Jet Appearance” package adding body-colored panels and a unique front-design, the Nautilus can be personalized to a new level. With a contrasting glossy black roof, the Nautilus is by far the most visually progressive model in the Lincoln lineup, a spunky adventure in design; quite European in its tone and inspiration. An upright front fascia is complimented by a full LED light signature.

2024 Lincoln Nautilus Interior: Bold is Beautiful

The showstopper in the interior is the 48-inch coast-to-coast display replacing the myriad of screens found on many other models with a singular, sleek view that can be customized by the user. The flowing, horizontal instrument panel is integrated into the immersive display – the largest in its class. Running the full beam of the vehicle, it feels genuinely futuristic and immersive, solving the weirdness of having to digitally recreate outdated vehicle elements such as gauge clusters and opening the opportunity for Lincoln to completely reconsider how users engage with their vehicle.

The Nautilus has been designed to help clients recharge, with features that craft an entirely new sensory experience that will immerse them in the rejuvenating power of sight, sound, touch, and scent. With Lincoln BlueCruise 1.2, drivers can now experience Lane Change Assist, which will perform a hands-free lane change when requested by the driver tapping the turn signal, and it can even suggest if a lane change would be beneficial when following slow-moving traffic. The hands-free highway driving experience feels more natural due to keeping the vehicle in its lane while subtly shifting position away from vehicles in adjacent lanes, especially helpful when next to bigger vehicles.

2024 Lincoln Nautilus Engines

The standard 2.0-liter turbocharged engine offers a sporty and agile ride with 250 horsepower and 275 lb.-ft. of torque. This powertrain is paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission and an adaptive suspension system. With Selectable Drive Modes, drivers can choose from Normal, Conserve, Excite, Slippery, and Deep Conditions to match their mood and the road conditions. For an even more exhilarating ride, the available 2.0-liter turbocharged hybrid engine provides a total system horsepower of 310. The hybrid powertrain consists of a new 2.0-liter turbocharged engine and a continuously variable automatic transmission with a 100kW electric motor, allowing for a smooth and efficient driving experience.

What you might notice missing is an an all-electric option. Lincoln has put off its entry into electric vehicles as it perfects the effort.

Availability and Price

The 2024 Lincoln Nautilus is extremely well-specced across the offering, with all vehicles featuring Lincoln’s excellent Co-Pilot360 safety and driver assist technology. The Nautilus starts just over $50,000 and tops out around $85,000 for the sumptuous Black Label. Explore more at Lincoln.com
