Laughter comes in many forms, and in the new feature film “The Naked Gun,” it comes in the shape of internet comedian Liza Koshy.
The Naked Gun is a modern reboot of the beloved franchise that follows the Police Squad as they try to stop the squad from being turned into a Halloween store, and you can bet there will be chaos and laughter throughout the film. The character Detective Barnes, played by Liza, is a rookie cop on the Police Squad who grounds all the absurdity that surrounds her. She is almost too serious, in a way that, if you keep up with her content online, you’d assume she would be joining in on all the laughter presented in the film. But for Liza, this role is a dream. She wants you to see this film in a theater, laughing along with others, because off-screen, she had such a meaningful time being surrounded by people she has long admired.
