Lion Babe Hosts ‘Begin’ Album Listening At The Roxy Hotel

Last night, The Django, which is located inside The Roxy Hotel in Tribeca, was a packed house!

New York duo Lion Babe, which is made up of Jillian Hervey and Lucas Goodman, hosted an epic party to celebrate their latest LP titled Begin. If you’ve ever had the opportunity to listen to any of Lion Babe’s music then you know that it will get you up out of your seat.

The 14-song project played throughout the evening as Jillian and Lucas performed in true duo style. They danced, sang, and conversed with those in the crowd. Their fans recorded every moment.The event was presented by STASHED and AfroPunk. After giving a huge shoutout to New York City, Jillian said “Lion Babe was an unexpected thing. The universe brought us (Lucas Goodman) together.” She also went on to say “We are inspired by those who are tweeting and drawing us. It’s been a tremendous amount of love and support.”

 Jillian’s mom, actress Vanessa Williams, was also in attendance. An after-party followed at KinFolk 90.

Begin is out this Friday.
