Grammy award winning singer and songwriter, actress and Destiny’s Child alum, LeToya Luckett has teamed up with Kin to give fans a peek into her life with her new show, Leave it to LeToya.
Luckett has been a well-known public figure for over two decades with fans following her ups and downs through her music career to the Family Hustle saga and now she is ready to invite viewers into her personal life as she discovers her new normal. Just like anyone else, life has given the Greenleaf star ups and downs and Leave it to LeToya shares details of this next chapter in her life including finding happiness post-divorce, balancing motherhood with a demanding career, her youthful beauty secrets and venture into fashion design, possibly finding love again and even takes viewers on set of one of her latest projects.
The interactive show launches on YouTube, Facebook Watch and IGTV giving audiences the chance to interact with Luckett as well as each other as she touches on topics many can relate to. However, she reveals sometimes she was surprised by how transparent and open she really was as she discussed an episode where she had a conversation with her ex of ten years, rapper Slim Thug. “That was the conversation that I was like, am I ready to have this? Two do I need to have it? And three, this was a chapter in my life that was closed but not really closed so maybe this is the closure that we need,” Luckett shared. The vulnerable episode touches on relevant questions such as, can one remain friends with an ex, in what conditions is it healthy to go back to an ex, and have you ever wanted to have a conversation with an ex but it just never happened? As for the “No,No, No” singer, she isn’t quite saying no to possibly rekindling old flames, “we’ll see, we’re both grown.”
If you have been following Luckett’s career, it is very difficult to not think of her rise to popularity as a renowned member of the R&B group, Destiny’s Child comprised of artists Beyoncé, Kelly Rowland, LaTavia Roberson and LeToya Luckett. During her years in the group, she achieved four US Top 10 hit singles and won two Grammy Awards before the ladies parted ways in 2000 leaving fans confused and desperate for a reunion. Over 20 years later and the question still remains, will there ever be a Destiny’s Child reunion with the original members? “It would be beautiful to “No, No, No” again, “Say My Name” one more time. It would be something where honestly, my heart might melt,” Luckett shared. But whether she’s talking about money and men, chatting with her mom in the kitchen, being vulnerable and real, each episode will be packed full of heartfelt humor and inspiring messages to uplift and motivate her audience. Leave it to LeToya was created in tandem with entertainment company Kin and will be available across YouTube, Instagram, and Facebook Watch beginning Tuesday, June 14th at 10am PT/1pm ET.
