Fresh off receiving six Grammy nominations for his 2024 effort Mutt, Leon Thomas arrived in Atlanta earlier this month for his MUTTS DON’T HEEL World Tour, one of 25 stops on the North American leg.
Fully on a high from the continued recognition from his peers and the industry at-large, along with his further departure from the more obscure world of songwriting where he amassed credits with artists such as SZA and Drake, Leon Thomas oozed star-like confidence – and the sold-out crowd definitely appeared to have no issue embracing the rising star.

Moving through a set list of roughly sixteen songs, featuring some of his well-known hits (Love Jones; YES IT IS; LUCID DREAMS) as well of some yet-to-be released material, the Mutt performer really took advantage of the opportunity to display the full range of his talent as both a vocal performer as well as a multi-instrumentalist. This show also allowed him to perform some of his new songs from his recently-released 2025 EP Pholks – which was to the delight of many fans present.
Almost halfway through the show, Leon Thomas spoke about the “healing” nature of music, grateful that his music contributed to “bringing people together, particularly in a world where there’s so much driving us apart”. That moment of transparency resonated deeply with the fans, serving as a thorough line of the rest of the show. As far as what’s next for, the 32-year old singer left breadcrumbs about another project, as well as “something exciting” to commemorate his Grammy noms, which he kept secret. However, one thing this show clearly demonstrated is that Leon Thomas has no indication of going anywhere but up, and the talent he possesses in spades makes that all the more inevitable.
